In Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, nine bridge cranes have been installed for the new Hitachi Eurorail train plant. With a facility of £ 82 to invest in the facility, cranes were used to help mix up to 35 metro manufacturing, commuter and intercity high-speed trains per month.

Hitachi's Newton Aycliffe plant started construction in September 2015. The first trains will leave the Great Western Railway in 2017.
